Spring

These were the first three trips we took with our brand new camper. The first one was to attend a camper driving class, the second to practice camping at a nearby state park, and the third to go canoeing and to practice pulling the camper over a long distance.

Summer

This was our first multi-campground journey. We started the adventure by going to a Regional Grand Design Rally. Afterward, we headed to explore Kentucky and Tennessee. This was a great mix of attractions. From Covered Bridges to Natural Features, to Bourbon and Moonshine distilleries. We enjoyed breweries and ferries, giant caves, and corvettes in sink holes. Route 66

In October, we embarked on a bucket-list trip along Route 66, traveling from Joplin, Missouri, to Los Angeles, California. Spanning approximately 1,400 miles, this iconic journey took us through five states—Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Along the way, we experienced the charm of historic landmarks, diverse landscapes, and the timeless allure of America’s most famous highway. Modern highways sometimes replaced original sections of the road, but the spirit of the Mother Road remained in every mile we traveled.

Fall

Our return journey from Los Angeles to Kansas City was a captivating trek through the Southwest. We explored the surreal landscapes of Joshua Tree National Park, the RV culture of Quartzsite, and the tranquility of Casa Grande. In Arizona, Saguaro National Park showcased iconic desert cacti, while Bowie provided picturesque mountain views.

In Texas, we experienced El Paso’s cultural vibrancy and the stunning dunes of Monahans Sandhills, with a detour to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico’s underground marvels. Stops at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene and Fort Worth added warmth and cowboy heritage to our adventure before we returned home.
